DeWanda Wise
In film, television, and theater, DeWanda Wise has established herself as one of the industry's most consistently critically acclaimed artists. Of her work as Kayla Watts in Jurassic World Dominion, she's been nearly universally considered a standout of the sixth installment with critics noting her magnetism, swagger, wit, and charisma. Entertainment Weekly notes, "Dominion's most memorable star might be its newest: DeWanda Wise, who joins the series as high- flying pilot Kayla Watts...Playing a daring pilot, (she) is basically starring in a one- woman Raiders of the Lost Ark in her head. Lauren Hines
Lauren is the producer and star of the Academy Award Qualifying film, Ash, opposite Jason Butler Harner and Dale Soules. Her film Where You Go, written by DeWanda Wise screened at the Cannes Film Festival. Her television roles include work on FBI, American Horror Story and Rescue Me. Other film credits include In the Basement There's Some Money and Wedding Season. Her extensive theater experience includes roles in London, New York and regionally with the Old Vic Theater, Atlantic Theater Company, Ma-Yi Theater Company, Ensemble Studio Theater, Ars Nova, the Public Theater and many others. She trained at the NYU Tisch School of the Arts and Atlantic Theater Company Acting School.

 

Jenny Straussburg
Jenny Strassburg grew up near Charleston, SC and moved to New York City at the age of 18 to pursue her BFA in Acting at Marymount Manhattan College. She has worked extensively in NY theatre as well as regional theatres across the country.  Recent TV/Film credits include. FBI: Most Wanted, The Equalizer, Bull, Law and Order: SVU.  Slotted for the end of 2022 she will be playing the role of Karen in the final installment of NBC Peacock's fan favorite The Best Man, with Terrence Howard, Taye Digs, and Harrold Perrineau.  Early 2023 will see the release of indie feature Baggage Claim, and she begins preproduction for her own series  Liitle Girl's Room.  She currently lives in Harlem with her husband Loren, daughter Willa, and puppy Penny.  

 

Kaz PS- Director

Kaz PS is an award-winning filmmaker, writer and theatrical video designer. 

She has made four short films which have screened at festivals domestically and abroad, directed a handful of music videos, and been the grateful recipient of fellowships and grants from the likes of AFI, Cinereach, Eastman Kodak and the Jerome Foundation. She is an alumna of AFI’s prestigious Directing Workshop for Women and won the Institute’s Jean Picker Firstenberg Award for her 2010 DWW short, MEGAFAUNA, now available on iTunes.  

As a writer, Kaz advanced to the semi-finals of both the Academy Nicholls Screenwriting Fellowship and the Screencraft Writing Fellowship with her dark psychological drama, WATERLINE, and penned General Population’s (A GIRL WALKS HOME ALONE AT NIGHT) upcoming apocalyptic murder mystery, BAD SUMMER.  Her horror script CRADLE WILL FALL was optioned by Intrepid Pictures (OCULUS), and is currently in pre-production with award-winning Australian filmmaker Nick Verso attached to direct. 

As a video designer she has presented work in France, Poland, Denmark, Russia, Australia, the UAE, and across the US (American Repertory Theater, Cambridge MA; Bumbershoot, Seattle, WA) and is the video artist in residence with internationally acclaimed, NYC-based dance theater company, Witness Relocation.  Her video design work has been called “hallucinatory” by the New York Times, and described as “audio-visual anarchy” by New York Magazine. 

Kaz graduated Cum Laude from Princeton University with a BA in English and a Certificate in Creative Writing.  She was born in England, grew up in the Pacific Northwest, and now calls Brooklyn, NY home.

Sara Kinney- Director of Photography
Sara is an American cinematographer with over a decade of experience in the film industry. She has shot for National Geographic, HBO, Vice News, Showtime, Channel4, and Disney on issues such as political conflict, women’s rights, wildlife conservation, gender identity, and the intersection of art and technology. Season two of the Emmy nominated show The World According to Jeff Goldblum, which she shot for National Geographic earlier this year, is currently up on Disney+. She received her BFA from Pratt Institute, and my MFA in cinematography from the American Film Institute Conservatory.

She is currently shooting a feature-length documentary for HBO.
